Just a quick one to say I am LOVING this weather!! Yah boo sucks to everybody who's moaning about it!

Apart from anything Millie looks so cute in all her new summer clothes and is loving running around in the garden. I love opening all the windows (well the ones that weren't left open overnight!) in the morning, driving with the windows down, not having to wait hours for my hair to dry naturally, I could go on...!!!

It's not been a bad one alltold though there are bits that could have been better. Equally, lots of bits that could have been worse. Hoping the next 2 weeks will herald some good news to round it off!

There have been many - witnessing Millie's firsts, Jess going off to secondary school, Seeing my guitar pupils perform with apparently no stage fright!

Finding out our home is built on contaminated land

I was just feeling a weeny bit guilty as I've spent loads of money over the past few days on Christmas pressies.

I now feel less guilty as Nick has just informed me he's ordered a new tv and thus has undoubtedly spent lots more than me!

I wonder if this new tv has anything to do with trying to persuade Jess that her new Wii is better kept downstairs than in her room? :-)

Well since my last post I am now back at work. 2 days at school, Millie goes to nursery (and loves it!) and it's good to be earning again. Even after paying out for nursery I'm clearing a reasonable amount which is useful with children's birthdays and Christmas just around the corner!

Jess started secondary school last month and is doing very well. She gets the bus so no more school run for me! Yay!

Millie's birthday next week which is a bit scary! She took her first steps a few weeks ago but still realises crawling is a better way (at the moment!) of getting around quickly!

We've just come back from a few days in France visiting Nick's sister which was good. Some great mountains. Well great to look at, not so good for driving up!

Right breakfast time here. Or should that be "decorating things with weetabix" time? :-)

Hello I am still alive!

Been a busy few weeks - Lighthouse holiday club, GB camp, trip to Swanage, odd days out her and there plus of course looking after a couple of children!

Millie is now crawling everywhere, pulling herself up on the furniture and walking round it. She's got a really good sense of humour and makes herself laugh!

Jess starts secondary school in 2 weeks - she's quietly nervous about it but we got loads of her stuff today so she felt a bit better. All we need to do now is to check we have all the uniform and she's all set.

I go back to work 2 days a week a fortnight tomorrow which means Millie also starts nursery then! I really ought to plan some lessons before then, though I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing in the first week!

Nick's been in Dubai since Saturday. He's back tomorrow thank goodness!

Anyway I think that's brought everything a bit more up to date! There will be a house update soon (I hope!)- when I have something worth telling!

Yesterday I had a birthday. It was a very nice day and I was spoilt a little bit!

I had presents in bed - Nick got me a digital photo frame and he's already put loads of photos on it - mostly ones of the girls but also some from our honeymoon that I'd forgotten about! Millie got me a USB fan, Jess got me a teddy that said "I love you mum" and they both got me a statue of a mother and 2 children :)

I also got some vouchers, some smellies, a hanging basket and a subscription to a magazine. As usual, my siblings are crap and I haven't had presents from them yet but they DID all ring me yesterday!

We went out for lunch with my parents. Millie went in a highchair and was an angel. Jess put away a huge mixed grill! It was a really lovely birthday!
